 ase join us for a talk with Mimica Tzezana Hyman\, chronicling the surviva
 l of the Jewish community on the Greek island of Zakynthos\, where Mimica
 ’s father and family lived\, during World War II.\n\nThe entire Jewish c
 ommunity on the island was protected from the Nazis by the bishop\, the ma
 yor\, and other residents. As a result\, all 275 Jewish lives on Zakynthos
  were saved.\n\nMimica’s presentation of this amazing story of courage c
 onsists of a summary of Jewish life on Zakynthos in the days before WWII\,
  stories of her father and a screening of a short documentary.\n\nA reside
 nt of the Hudson Valley\, Mimica is an artist\, educator and advocate who 
 shares her family&amp\;#39\;s historic experience during the Holocaust to 
 keep the memory of Greek Jewish survival alive. She also serves on the boa
 rd of the American Friends of the Jewish Museum of Greece.\n\nThe program
