B’nai Sholom to Host Second Cooking Class with Deanna Fox, Food Journalist and Times Union Contributor

Join B’nai Sholom Reform Congregation for another cooking class with Deanna Fox celebrating Jewish heritage.

With its first online cooking class a big success, B’nai Sholom will present a second session with the renowned food journalist and Times Union contributor Tuesday, April 13, 4:30-6 p.m.

Leading up to the holiday of Shavuot, participants will embrace the traditions of feasting on dairy and wheat by making bourekas, the flaky pockets of dough wrapped around a slightly sweet cheese filling.  Bourekas is also known as sambousek in some global Jewish communities.  Participants will be provided a shopping list, a materials list and recipes for the class.  Substitutions for gluten-free and vegan diets will be provided in recipes.  Log-in using the Zoom link and cook with Fox in your own kitchen.
The cooking class is open to the public but limited to 20 screens.  Cost: $18 per screen.  Registration and payment by April 5 are required to receive the Zoom link.

Visit www.bnaisholomalbany.org or contact the B’nai Sholom office to register or for more information: office@bnaisholom.albany.ny.us or 518-482-5283.
