CHAIFLICKS FILM GROUP DISCISSION ( via Zoom)

On this date we will be hosting a discussion of the film Ida (Poland 2015) a moving and intimate drama about a young novitiate nun, who on the verge of taking her vows, makes the shocking discovery that her parents were Jewish and perished under German occupation. Her journey thereafter and its excavation of truths creates a film that the New Yorker called “a masterpiece” and the NYT “one of the finest European films in recent memory.
All are invited to watch Ida and join in the discussion. The film available via the Chaiflicks streaming service and on Amazon Prime, Apple TV with many copies in the local library system.
